How to Connect

Camera Setup & Installation:

Do not plug in your camera until instructed.

If you don’t have the myforum2 Driver CD, you can download the driver here:

http://myforum2.com/downloads/myforum2_camera_driver.zip

1. PLACE the ‘Driver’ disk in the CD drive.

2. Now SELECT ‘Driver’ and follow the instructions.

3. Because this is not a Microsoft product, a ‘Windows error message’ may appear. SELECT ‘Continue anyway’ to complete the driver installation.

4. CLICK ‘Finish’ to restart the computer.

5. REMOVE the driver disk from the CD drive.

6. Afterthe computer has finished restarting, then PLUG-IN your camera.

The myforum2 Pro Web Camera has a flashing LED lighting effect that you may prefer to be off. TO TURN FLASHING LIGHT OFF, press the small white button located behind the camera below the white cable.

7. The ‘Found New Hardware’ wizard will now open. Do not insert the disk! SELECT ‘NO. not this time’ and then CLICK ‘Next’.

8. SELECT ‘Install the software automatically (recommended)’ and then CLICK ‘Next’.

9. Again, a ‘Windows error message’ may appear that states this camera is not compatible. SELECT ‘Continue anyway’ to complete the camera installation.

10. CLICK ‘Finish’ to close the ‘Found New Hardware’ wizard.

Camera Adjustments & Enhancements:

To ADJUST the color or contrast of your myforum2 Pro Web Camera, open the Amcap icon on your desktop while viewing yourself in myforum2 or in your forum, and then make the adjustments.

1. DOUBLE CLICK on the Amcap icon on your desktop.

2. CLICK ‘OK’ in the error box that comes up.

If your forum is open, you may get an error message box that states ‘cannot create audio capture’. CLOSE your forum and redo the first step.

3. CLICK on ‘Devices’ to ensure that the camera you are using is selected.

4. Now GO TO ‘Options’ in the menu and CHOOSE ‘Video Capture Filter’ to
open ‘Properties’.

5. PROCEED to the first tab called ‘Camera Controls’ to adjust color,
brightness, contrast, etc.

6. PROCEED to the second tab called ‘Advanced Settings’ and then CLICK on ‘Image Effect’ and/or ‘Photo Frames’ to create a different look. HINT: CLICK on ‘Demo’ to view what it looks like.

7. CLICK on ‘Load Frame’ to use any of your own photos as a personalized picture frame.

When you load your own photo, this photo is what appears on your forum video view screen. When you are out of the office, this photo also replaces your empty screen.

How to Connect your myforum2 Premium Internet Headset:

The cables on your headset will be inserted in the same place you would plug in your computer speakers and microphone - in the front or back of your computer tower; or the front, back, or side of your laptop.

1. Plug the red cable into the red opening (microphone jack).

2. Plug the black cable into the green opening (headphone jack).
